Easy Heart & Vintage Seed Packet Garland

If you’re looking for a vintage-inspired Valentine’s garland, check out this easy, cute garland that can be used year-round. Here is how to make an Easy Heart Garland DIY using Vintage Seed Packets and these moss-covered hearts. This Valentine Garland may be the easiest DIY I’ve ever shared. The seed packets look great for a spring garland, and the moss hearts for Valentine’s Day. Therefore, you can display your DIY garland for several months.

Supplies Needed for Heart Garland DIY

• Moss Hearts – I used 8. They are available in the Bridal Section of Hobby Lobby. I also found these pink or red Moss hearts.
• Vintage Seed Packets – Available ETSY
• Jute Rope
• Hot Glue Gun & Glue

Easy Heart and Vintage Seed Packet Garland

Now, let’s begin to attach the heart for Valentine’s garland.

You can start by determining the length of your heart garland DIY project and allow extra for attaching at each end. I used 55″ for the actual garland and allowed approximately 12 extra inches for hanging.

Fold your rope in half and begin by attaching the center seed packet with a bead of hot glue on the back of the packet.

Make Double Hearts for the DIY Garland

To add some variety to the heart garland, attach two sets of hearts. Just add a drop of hot glue to the V of one heart and secure the bottom point of a second heart. Then, hold it in place until the glue is dry.

Attach the double hearts on either side of the center seed packet. Allow approx. 5″ between the packet and the hearts.

Angle the seed packets as you attach

Next, begin adding the seed packets to either side of the hearts. Attach a drop of glue to one corner of the packet, therefore allowing the packet to hang on an angle.

DIY Moss Hearts and Vintage Seed Packets Valentine’s Garland

Continue to either end of the garland by alternating between the seed packets and moss hearts. Allow approx.—a 5″ space between each item.

Once the glue is dry, you are ready to hang your garland.

I had initially planned to hang this in my greenhouse; however, after testing it over “Faith,” I decided to leave it here for a Valentine’s Décor.
