Dirt Road Adventures & Super Bowl Weekend

What a busy, busy week, I’m sharing a behind-the-scenes look at all our adventures and how we spent Super Bowl Weekend. Plus…. a look back at all the inspiration on the blog and some great finds from around the web.

We had spring-like weather in North Carolina and took off to the beach on Wednesday. We spent so much time last year remodeling the cottage during January and February that we couldn’t wait to get back and start planning the next projects.

To be honest, there’s not much left to do in a 460 sq. ft. cottage, but a few more ideas are in the works. I can’t wait to share those with you.

This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.

I had a very busy week on the blog, with several new posts that you will enjoy if you missed them.

A Long Super Bowl Weekend

The Super Bowl Weekend started early as we traveled to our beach cottage on Wednesday. We spent some time in Wilmington shopping at some vintage and thrift stores.

Next was a stop at Edward Teach Brewery so Brad could recover from the stress of shopping with me. LOL. He loves their Teach Peach Beer. It was very refreshing.

On Friday, we took the Fort Fisher Ferry over to South Port for lunch and some more shopping.

We had lunch at Oliver’s and explored the historic district. I did find some good deals at a thrift store, and I’ll be sharing those with you soon.

Next, we traveled down the road to visit with our dear friends who had moved to N. Myrtle Beach for a Super Bowl Weekend.

In Case You Missed It

I began the week with last year’s How To Paint Flour Sack Napkins Tutorial. I can’t wait to make some new styles this year.

I dragged Chuck to the thrift store yesterday…he made it 10 min and then I got the “take your time, I’ll be in the car”. I didn’t even take him for a beer later!! Sounds like a fun weekend-thrifting & eating! Thanks for sharing my hearts!
