Supper Club

Today’s Christmas Breakfast is the theme for our monthly Supper Club series.

If you are joining us for the first time, we are a group of friends who love to entertain, and when entertaining in person wasn’t recommended last year, we started a virtual supper club in January 2021.

Each month we have one guest blogger joining us, and I’m so excited to have Pasha from Pasha is Home joining us for November.

If you are joining me from Simply 2 Moms, Welcome! Didn’t you love AnnMarie’s simple ideas for a Christmas Morning Tablescape?

Christmas Breakfast Table Centerpiece

When planning our breakfast table settings ideas, the centerpiece was my inspiration.

I arranged faux paperwhite bulbs in a large white tureen. The tureen was a thrift store find with a missing lid. Therefore, it was a steal.

After filling the tureen with small gravel to hold the bulbs in place, I added green moss to cover the gravel and added several dried oranges to the moss.

Next, I wanted budget-friendly and sustainable topiaries to add to the table center. Therefore, I foraged some twigs and pinecones to combine with dried orange slices to make these economical DIY Christmas topiaries.

Breakfast Table Place Setting

I used a combination of thrift store finds and natural greenery to create a budget-friendly place setting.

How To Make DIY Plate Rings with Natural Greenery

I added a plate wreath for each charger using natural cedar and some medium-weight wire.

In order to make the plate wreaths, gather long cedar stems and make a circle with the wire to fit the rim of the plates.

Wrap the cedar stems around the wire going over and under until the wire is covered with cedar that is secure.

You may need to add additional wire to hold the cedar in place; however, if you keep twisting around the wire, it should hold its shape easily.

Lay the cedar plate wreath on the plate charger and continue to shape it.

Now you can add your plate to the plate wreath which will secure it in place.

With the addition of the natural greenery, the gold plate chargers and vintage white ironstone plates help keep a festive neutral color pallet.

The white plate holds a Christmas Tree Napkin with a faux cedar napkin ring and a dried orange slice.

The place setting, paired with green vintage water goblets, thrifted wine glasses, and a mini white Christmas tree, completes it.

Breakfast Table Setting – Ironstone Dishes

The hutch is filled with additional vintage ironstone dishes and serving pieces to compliment the table setting.

In addition, the DIY plate rack is filled with bread boards and other serving pieces that can be quickly added to the breakfast table.
