Y’all know how I love to decorate our guest bedroom seasonally. I decided that a Valentine’s Day Theme would be fun.
Join me for our Guest Bedroom Valentine’s Day Tour. You will see fun DIY Projects, vintage décor and much more.
Welcome to The Guest Bedroom Tour
Although there will be no guests for Valentine’s Day, I still wanted the room to feel special. So let’s take a look at the room decked out for the upcoming Valentine’s Day.
First, as you enter the Guest Bedroom, you are greeted by this Triple Heart Swag on the entry door.

The neutral rug and bedding are perfect for the many accessory color changes that occur in this room. In addition, you can see links to the bedding and rug on this Shop My Style Page.

Valentine’s Pillows
Next, a favorite way to update a space is to change the throw pillows. In addition, they are an inexpensive and fun way to decorate for any special occasion. The bed is filled with a combination of Fuzzy Fur white Pillows, Buffalo Check Pillows & a Handmade Valentine’s Pillow. See how to make this easy Heart Pillow Here. To see a video tutorial click here.

The guest bedroom has many DIY Projects as well as vintage finds. Would you like to learn how to make the Feed Sack Fabric that covers the vintage chair? Here is a easy tutorial for your convenience.

Natural Elements for Valentine’s Day
Another favorite styling tips is to use natural elements to the room. The zinna’s were so plentiful last fall and rather than let them waste away, I brought them inside to dry . The faded colors are perfect for this Valentine’s Day Guest Room Tour.

In addition, to the dried flowers, dried greenery fills the milk glass vases. These cute hearts are made from an old quilt, and have been a favorite treasure for several years.

Re-purposed Gun Cabinet
My dad built this gun cabinet many years ago and in order to make it useful, it was re-purposed it to hold vintage treasures and family photo’s. In addition, it is topped with LOVE! During the Christmas holiday season, the V is replaced with an N. Can you guess what it spells?

More Vintage Treasures

You can see how the vintage soda bottles fit perfectly in the sugar mold!

Finishing Touches for Valentine’s Day Tour
Every bed needs a chunky throw blanket for added warmth and a DIY Garland made from old music sheets is draped over the top for added charm. LOL

I just love everything about your home and this room is certainly no exception!! It is so inviting and cozy. You are definitely a decorating inspiration to me. My mind just whirls when I’m looking at your pictures
Blessings!!!
Tammy,
What a sweet compliment. Thank you so much.
Luved the bedroom. The bottles in the molds was a great idea. Pinned🙌🏻
Ann,
Thanks so much.
So pretty and every touch precious to look at, I’d be reluctant to disturb anything if I stayed there. I would feel as though I was messing up the display.
Benesse,
Oh, you’d be welcome to mess it up. LOL
Love it all! I have the same bedspread. Sometimes I put it under the mattress and just use it as a bedskirt. Love it both ways!
Rebekah,
I love that idea.
I love the pillows and bedspread. Simply so cute.
Rebecca,
I’m so glad. Thanks for stopping by.

Adorable and Pinned! And there are those red vintage books again. Have you posted where someone might find those? Thanks, Rachel.
Miche,
Most are collected over the years and thrift stores or antique stores are my source.
Love all your beautiful details Rachel.
Corine,
Thanks so much sweetie.
Very fun room. Did you make the ticking coverlet? I also loved your heart pillow tutorial.
Shelley,
No, I didn’t make the coverlet. There is a link on the page for the source.

I’d LOVE to stay in that adorable and “lov”able guest room! So cozy and inviting and just the right amount of Valentine’s Day. Pinned
Cindy,
I appreciate this.
I’m just loving your guest room, all decorated for Valentine’s Day. I bought a couple of heart pillow covers from you last year. I can’t wait to get those out! Thanks for the inspiration sweet friend.
Kim,
I’m so glad you like them.
I would like to invite myself to stay at your house please Rachel … if I start walking now I may get there by next Valentines Day. This is beautiful and I literally feel the stress leaving my body looking at your wonderful décor #SundaysonSilverado
Rebecca,
I appreciate you stopping by. Thanks for your sweet compliments.
Was just curious about how the plate holders up over the bed were made .
I collect a lot of decorative plates and am always looking for new ways to display them. Thanks
Sherry,
Those are made from old books and copper wire. I made them and don’t think I have a tutorial. I’ll look back and see if I do. Might need to recreate this if I don’t. Thanks for the reminder.
