Dirt Road Adventures – Almost Ready For 4th of July

Happy Sunday Friends!

Are you almost ready for the 4th of July? We are gearing up for a lot of fun celebrating with our friends and family. We usually spend the holiday at our beach cottage and all of our beach neighbors.

It’s hard to believe that it’s only a week away.

We’ve been spending the week preparing for an extended time away from the farmhouse. I have a house sitter who will take care of my garden and plants but I try to make the task easier by moving all potted plants close together for watering.

Some Behind The Scenes

We had a few nature sightings this past week.

First, this tree frog wanted to join the party and you can a video of his adventure here. Later in the week, we woke to 3 herons taking a dip by the ponds. (one is out of view).

Today’s the last day! 20% discount on Antique Candle Co.

This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.

How To Make A Tulip Napkin Fold was part of my Supper Club Luau Themed Party this week.

In addition, I shared this tasty Oven Roasted Vegetable Recipe and we shared all of our supper club recipes and full menu on Saturday.

I also shared this DIY Neutral Star Wreath made from recycled materials and these Easy 4th of July Decorating and Craft Ideas which includes several diy projects.

Why Didn’t I Think of That?

Each week, there are so many wonderful blog posts, and I’m sharing some of my favorites with you today.

There are so many creative ideas, and I’m always asking myself, “Why didn’t I think of that”? LOL

First, I’m so excited for my friend Molly because she just recently started her new blog. You are going to love seeing all that she shares from the coast of Maine. Last week she shared 6 Ways to Add Coastal Maine Charm to Your Guest Bedroom.

My friend Kim just recently returned from a European Trip of a lifetime and shared some of the amazing doors and gates that she saw while traveling.

What’s In My Cart

Ok, I love seeing the cute little geese when they are first born however, they are really annoying when they stick around and leave droppings all over the grass. I’ve decided to spray the yard with this safe and non-toxic Goose repellant.

In addition, we’ve been struggling with where to park Brad’s Truck. This easy to assemble portable heavy duty carport was a great value for the money.

We’ve been hiking more and are using these two repellants.

And an update: Brad is loving his Father’s Day Gift because he can even play basketball with them and they feel secure in his ears.

I hope you have a wonderful week and stay tuned for more adventures this coming week.

Thank you so much for sharing our spring porch tour, Rachel, I really appreciate it. I spent a good part of last week prepping our porch for the summer and goodness gracious it was 101. Gah - summer in Florida is no joke! Love seeing all the visitors you've had around the ponds this week and can't wait to follow along on your time at the beach. It always looks like so much fun! Big hugs and thank yous, CoCo

Molly You are so welcome. Yes, we usually only see one occasionally. It was surprising to see 3 at once.
