You’ll never overlook a quality piece of furniture when you see how easy and amazing these transformations can be. Let’s get started
2 Repurposed Side Boards To Create a Farmhouse Kitchen Island
How to Build a Farmhouse Kitchen Island is still my favorite and most challenging furniture makeover. We combined a previously rescued sideboard and a more recent thrift store find to build a kitchen island for our new farmhouse.
Here you can see both furniture pieces that make up two sides of the 6′ by 7′ island.

Industrial pipes and a barn wood-style top complete the furniture makeover. See more details about how we built the island using old furniture. You can also click to see how to make new wood look like old barn wood.

As you can see from the images I’m sharing, I’ve painted the island 3 times since we built it and this article examines The Miracle of Chalk Paint Wax.

Easiest Thrift Store Dresser Makeovers
Chalk Paint Makeover for Vintage Furniture was such an easy makeover. Using Chalk Paint to transform a thrift store find is super easy, and you can see how simple it was to refinish this chest.

3 Step Furniture Makeover – Flea Market Flip is another simple furniture makeover. So quick and easy to transform this chest from boring to wow!
See more information on How to Use Chalk Paint.

This was such a simple project because the chest was in great shape. The drawers were refreshed with dark wax, and the exterior was painted with Annie Sloan’s Old White Chalk Paint.

Greenhouse DIY Apothecary Cabinet IKEA Hack
Who doesn’t love a cabinet with little drawers? Well, this IKEA hack was the perfect addition to our DIY Greenhouse. This was originally a 16-cube storage unit. See all the details, including what this piece looked like before, on DIY Faux Apothecary Cabinet – Card File Chest.

Second Hand Chest Industrial Farmhouse Makeovers.
This chest was such a great deal for only $27.00 at a consignment shop. I originally just painted this piece white and lived with it for a year.

Then inspiration struck and you can see how this transformation of accomplished here.

This is another early industrial furniture makeover – #1 Industrial Farmhouse Transformation.
Another example of my love for little drawers.

In addition, I repurposed an old silverware box on this trash-to-treasure post.
