Dirt Road Adventures: Happy Valentine’s Weekend
Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures! This is where we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you donโt miss any of our adventures here at the end of our Dirt Road.
Hey friends,
I hope you had a wonderful week and enjoyed your Valentine’s Weekend. We don’t traditionally celebrate Valentine’s Day but decided to treat ourselves to a new vehicle this year. It was about time since I’d been driving the same vehicle since 2012. It all began just over a week ago, and we were able to pick up our new ride on Thursday. It’s incredible how long it takes to buy a car. Even without much haggling, it was so time-consuming. Then, the rest of the weekend was spent trying to familiarize ourselves with all the advanced technology. A lot has changed since 2013.
This was one of the reasons we have been looking for a newer model. The advances in vehicle safety are amazing, and we have felt a need to upgrade. However, I don’t know how long, if ever, we will figure out how to operate it. LOL.

Why Didn’t I Think of That?
There are so many wonderful blog posts each week, and Iโm sharing some of my favorites with you today.
There are so many creative ideas, and I’m always asking myself, “Why didn’t I think of that”? LOL
- My friend Wendy always has the best ideas, and I’m so impressed with her DIY Wine Bottle Candleholders.
- I love pink this Spring, and these DIY Pink Milk Glass Plates of CoCo’s are adorable.
- I loved reading KariAnne’s Decorating Mistakes and How She Fixed Them. It’s refreshing to know we all make mistakes, and that’s Okay!
What’s in my Cart?
- I couldn’t resist these fantastic sale prices on handbags. They have so many cute ones.
- We stopped in at Pottery Barn and I’m so in love with these blue and white plates and these napkins. And I’d love these napkins, too.
- I saw this embroidered pillow and it is stunning.
I hope you have the best week. I’ll see you next week at Dirt Road Adventures.

Such a fun week of inspiration, Rachel, thank you so much for sharing my pink plates. I really appreciate it! I’m totally with you on being ready for Spring. It’s been cold and rainy in Florida lately so I am ready for lots of flowers and sunshine. Can’t wait to see what you have in store next season. I love everything you’ve created so far! Big hugs and thank yous, CoCo
