What Is A Mocktail?
A mocktail is a “mock cocktail”. It is a non-alcoholic mixed drink that is crafted to look and taste as sophisticated as a traditional cocktail. They are also referred to as Virgin Cocktails and Zero Proof Drinks.
- No Alcohol – Mocktails are alcohol free. The defining feature is that it contains no alcohol (or only a negligible amount, typically below 0.05% ABV sometimes found in premixed products such as beer and wine.). All mocktail recipes in this article are 100% alcohol free.
- They Look Like & Taste Similar To The Original Cocktails – The intent is to mimic the flavors, ingredients, and look of a classic cocktail. You can use the same techniques and tools to create an elevated, tasty drink, just without the spirits.
