Kitchen and Dining Room Vignettes
The kitchen is a perfect location to bring a feeling of harvest into your home. Just fill a bowl with apples or pears, and you are good to go. Decorate your countertops, islands, shelves, and more with these creative ideas.

Fall Kitchen Countertop
A thrifted woven tray adds a touch of fall to the kitchen countertop. Just add apples, fall leaves, a bowl of nuts, and flicker candles for a warm ambiance.

Festive Fall Open Kitchen Shelving
Open shelving in the kitchen exudes all the fall vibes with golden pears in a milk glass fruit bowl and dried gourds that resemble an apple and a pear.

Kitchen Island for Fall
The kitchen island holds an array of nature’s bounty, including fresh fruits, hydrangeas, beets, and pinecones.

Fall Dining Room Art
A thrifted vintage needlepoint harvest art piece inspired this dining room vignette. A wheat bundle with a stack of apples fills a pewter tray and is surrounded by a pumpkin arrangement with sunflowers and more fall stems for a fun vignette.

Fall Harvest Dining Table Centerpiece Ideas
The screen porch dining table centerpiece is an oblong dough bowl filled with gourds, okra pods, and wheat for a rustic fall table setting.

Another year, a vintage handwoven basket is filled with fall foliage and pumpkins. Combined with a jute table runner and old amber bottles, the centerpiece instantly grabs your attention.

The dining room table features a simple woven pedestal bowl filled with apples, pinecones, and wheat—a lovely, easy-to-make centerpiece.

Living Room Autumn Harvest Vignettes
From coffee tables, centerpieces, to mantel vignettes, check out these harvest-rich fall living room decor ideas.
Our large coffee table is the perfect spot for a centerpiece filled with natural elements. One year, the large European bowl is filled with dried corn stalks, berries, okra pods, and dried gourds.
The next year, a large scoop basket is filled with dried flowers, pinecones, and gourds for a neutral and texture-filled centerpiece.

Adding a few gathered hickory nuts to a clear vase and topping with a few fall stems creates a stunning arrangement for this side table.

The living room mantel, filled with large gourds and wheat, is draped with a DIY Old Book Page Leaf Garland.

Porch Harvest Rich Decor
As you may know, I love decorating my porch for fall, and this is one of my favorites because it’s filled with all the elements of an autumn harvest. From the corn stalk garland on the porch swing to the harvest baskets filled with pumpkins and acorns, it’s a feast of harvest goodness. Throw in several colorful mums, fall leaves, and more pumpkins for a stunning porch display.

A trio of pumpkins creates a simple harvest centerpiece when combined with a berry stem and a planter filled with late-season flowers.

Another year, the front doors were surrounded with dried flower wreaths, galvanized tubs filled with corn husks, fruit baskets filled with mums, and even a basket of apples, completing this harvest-rich front porch decor.

In Conclusion
If you are looking for an inexpensive way to decorate your home for fall, look no further than the abundance of autumn harvest decor. From free foraged materials to fresh fruits and vegetables, you can’t beat the colors and textures that will fill your home. Look to nature to create a warm and cozy autumn ambiance in your home this year.

Rachel, I just loved reading your posts and seeing your beautiful pictures of your “natural” fall decorating. You have done such a lovely job. There’s nothing like decorating with all the natural items. They just speak “fall” to me, I sure miss being at our home at the lake where I could go and gather so many items — acorns, pinecones, prairie grasses, bittersweet, wild fall flowers and those gorgeous branches in all their fall splendor. I loved using the corn stalks at the entrance of our outdoor steps along with pumpkins and beautiful fall mum plants going down the steps. Then, I had such a cute scarecrow which always sat in an old wicker chair by our door. Sure miss all this but we left everything for the family that bought our home and they love it all. They are enjoying all of our outdoor seasonal decor so we are so happy that they do things up the way we loved to.
You live in such a beautiful part of the USA and have so much beauty around you to enjoy. Your outdoor fall decor is beautiful.
The baskets you use are so nice, too. I had to get rid of so many of my baskets as we just don’t have the room here in our little “shoebox” condo!
I bet you were so happy to be able to decorate even if it took you a little longer this fall. You have such a gorgeous home by the water and this must be so calming when you sit outside and look out. Hope you and Brad — and Ryan, too — get lots of time to sit out on your porch and take in all the fall splendor around you.
Thanks, again, Rachel, for bringing us such a wonderful post!
Have a wonderful weekend! Take good care of yourself and make sure you rest lots!
