Dirt Road Adventures: October Vibes & The Final Countdown

Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures! This is where we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures here at the end of our Dirt Road.

Well, friends, it’s been a roller coaster of a week. We began with lots of rain and a feeling of hopelessness on my part regarding my recovery. But then the sun came out, and so did my positive attitude. I finally turned all my worries over to God, and a peace settled around me. I completed my 5th chemo treatment on Friday, so we are in the final countdown. Two more to go! I’ll be honest, starting back on chemo after surgery is scary. But I know God has this, and I’ll get through next week. If you’d like to see more about my healing journey, you can read My Healing Journal.

In other news, I’m taking advantage of my steroid high from the chemo treatment. I enjoyed a lunch date with some dear friends and then went to my husband’s 50th High School Class Reunion. It was nice to do something normal for a change.
