Dirt Road Adventures: Preparing For July, Patriotic Ideas, and Chemo Treatment #3

Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures! This is where we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures here at the end of our Dirt Road.

Hi Friends, I hope you have had a good week. I hope you are preparing for the upcoming 4th of July holiday. If you missed any of my patriotic ideas, you can see them all at Patriotic Decorating Ideas.

I find that my life is revolving around doctor appointments and preparation for chemo treatments and the aftereffects. So this past week was no different. I’ve worked on my blog so that, even when I’m not feeling like it, you’ll still receive news from me next week. I have a few new projects to share.

I had a good week and have updated My Cancer Journal with the latest from Chemo Treatment # 3.

What I Thrifted For This Week

I’m working on getting a good collection of Demijohn bottles after finding a unique one a few weeks ago, and who could turn down this set of Milk Glass? I’ve never seen a set with a sugar bowl. How sweet is that.

God bless you for all your messages of encouragement this past week. I wanted to share two cards that were sent to me from good friends. They both had the best messages on the front. I hope they inspire you as they did me.

  5. I think the ‘ sugar bowl’, is a salt cellar, maybe. The set is unusual and unique, and I enjoy your sharing of thrifting treasures. Kim

    1. Kimberly,
I’m glad that you enjoy my thrifted finds. According to the box, the brass covered jar with a spoon is a saccharine jar. I’d put sugar in mine. Thank you for stopping by.
