Dirt Road Adventures – Almost Summertime

Some say Memorial Day is the beginning of the Summer Season!

Pools open and kids are getting out of school.

It’s June and the temps are rising.

My daughter and I certainly enjoyed these first days of June.

We spent a few extra days at the beach for our annual Mother/Daughter beach time. (The one that got rained out around Mother’s Day.)

The weather this past week was great and although summer doesn’t officially start until June 21st., it sure felt like summer.

We spent a lot time reading on the porch and on the sand.

In addition to our beach and reading time, I enjoyed taking her to some of our favorite restaurants and doing a little shopping.

First, True Blue Butcher & Barrel at South Front, Wilmington. Brad and I discovered this great spot when it first opened at this second location in Wilmington.

We love that we can take Rudy with us and stop by often.

Jennifer loved the brussel sprouts as much as I do.

Another favorite is Indochine on Market Street. Wilmington. Not only is the food delicious, but the grounds and decor is amazing. Such a fun spot for lunch or dinner if you’re in the area.

This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.

First, I shared this GPS Nautical Coordinates Sign that I made for the Beach Cottage. I included how to find your coordinates and make your own sign.
