It’s time for Spring Decorating and I’ve joined Cindy at County Road 407 for her monthly Pinterest Challenge. This month we are styling a Sofa Table for Spring and our Inspiration Photo comes from Sincerely Marie Designs.
Since I couldn’t decide which table I liked best, I’m sharing 3 Ways to Decorate a Sofa Table for Spring. I used mostly thrifted spring décor collected from various thrift stores and flea markets. I can’t wait to see which is your favorite.
If you are joining me from Kim at Shiplap and Shells, I’m so glad you made it all the way across the country. Isn’t Kim’s Table Vignette just stunning?

The Sofa Table
Today I’m styling the hand built sofa table located in our loft space. It’s at the back of our sectional sofa and is a piece my husband built over 35 years ago.
It’s sleek, simple style works well with any décor style and the lower shelf makes it a fun piece to style.
Step one
First, you need to clear the area you wish to decorate. You will find you are more creative once all the clutter is gone.

Sofa Table For Spring – Greenery Option
The first option is the table filled with greenery and diy topiaries as the focal point. In addition, glass cloches, a mirror and candles create extra light in the space.

In order to brighten the darker lower shelf, I add a mirror, a cloche & a candle. The Angel Vine is real, however all the other greenery is faux.

The top of the sofa table holds another glass cloche which is filled with faux lavender inside a thrifted handmade basket.

What do you do with a Broken Light Fixture? Turn it into a Lantern of course. You can see the tutorial on how I repurposed this piece last Spring.

Sofa Table with Birds & Books
For the second option to Decorate a Sofa Table for Spring, I chose this cute bird with stacks of books as the focus.

I used a variety of colored books to fill the bottom shelve because the cheerful colors help to brighten the dark shelf. In addition, a birds nest looks cute resting on the books edge.

In order to enhance this stack of coffee table books, I added a shiny brass container filled with lambs ear and white flowers. You may remember that is was a recent thrift store deal.

The third way to decorate a sofa table for Spring
For the third option, I used a combination of items from the previous 2 tables. There is a cute bird, books and greenery which all compliment the addition of soft Spring Tulips.

To add height, a chicken wire covered cloche houses a cute bird and bird nest.

Tulips are a favorite and this recent thrift store milk glass vase, looks priceless filled with the beauties. The vase was a great find from a recent Thrifting with the Gals excursion.

In addition, a few books and 2 DIY topiaries fill the lower shelf.

I look forward to hearing which of the tables is your favorite.

Well, must say all three renditions were wonderful, but I liked the second one the best, for whatever reason. Your style is great and your creativity is fun to watch. New subscriber here and enjoying my visits.
Deb,
Thank you so much for this encouragement. I really appreciate you for following along.
Love how you styled to sofa table! Looks awesome! Great ideas. ❤️
Hi Rachel! Nice to meet you!! I love all three of the console tablescapes you’ve put together… The first is probably my favorite but that’s because I love angel vine and gardening (I need to pick up a couple of those plants and make a sweet arrangement!). Super cute topiary!!
Nice hopping with you and happy decorating,
Hugs,
Barb 🙂
What is there to say but you have knocked it out of the park again. Everything marries so well.
Love the cloches and the gold pot from thrifting. It’s so much fun to find the treasure and let it shine its beauty.
Hi Rachel, I love that you decorated the lower shelf on your table. I love all the inspiration on your console table. So pretty and ready for spring laura in Colorado

Beautiful styling tips! I think I like the first option the best!
Cindy,
It’s my favorite too. It’s the one I left up. Thanks so much.
Oh I love it. How fun to do you display on both the top and bottom shelf. You added all the same elements as the inspo pic and created something even more unique and inspiring.
Marty,
Thanks so much for these kind words.
Rachel, I spy a really cool junk piece your TV is on;) I like all 3, but the greenery-filled first one has my heart! I’m loving your grapevine topiary; think I need to whip up some of those for my bathroom…did you make it? Happy Spring!
Lora,
Yes I did. I need to do the tutorial. LOL
Great job on all of your Spring table vignettes! I loved each one. And I thought all of your plants were real. I need to stop buying the cheap plastic ones. Thank you for joining in. Pinned 🙂
