Dirt Road Adventures – A Repurposed Week & Rudy’s Birthday

How was your first week of August? It was a busy week here at the Ponds Farmhouse after being away last weekend for the coastal wedding. Today I’m sharing a look behind the scenes of Rudy’s Birthday, a few easy ways to repurpose decor, a garden tour and other creative ideas from around the web.

This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.

First, we celebrated Rudy’s 4th Birthday although he was totally unimpressed with the whole thing.

I shared a video on YouTube that explains his reaction to all the festivities.

Although he didn’t enjoy the party, we had fun imagining what he was actually thinking.

I also spent some time reading A Lovely Life by Melissa Michaels. It’s beautifully written and so inspiring.

We also spent the weekend with friends in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Great catching up and enjoying the beach.

In Case You Missed It – Repurposed Decor

Last week was all about repurposing decor. First, was the old mantel that I couldn’t use as a mantel anymore so I now use it above my bed. This easy repurposed mantel is a favorite project and be sure to see how we repurposed the legs as well.

You’ll never throw away a lamp again after you see how easy it is to repurpose a lamp.

The Secret to Making Vintage Inspired Bottle Labels is one of my favorite projects. However, it may become addictive. Soon you’ll have labels on every bottle and jar in your home. LOL

Finally, one of my favorite repurposed decor projects. On Friday, I shared How to use Packing Material to make these adorable Plate Charger’s that look perfect on a fall table.
