Dirt Road Adventures – Girlfriend Shopping Time

Happy Sunday, Friends! I hope you had a great week as we began February.

We had a fun week here on the Dirt Road as we wrapped up some winter projects and started planning for Spring.

The forsythia stems I brought inside the house a few weeks ago are in full bloom, and my Christmas amaryllis finally bloomed.

With all the fresh flowers, I’m starting to think of Spring.

My girlfriend and I went on a much-needed shopping excursion. One of us has been sick since before Christmas, so now that we are well, a day out was in order.

In addition, we had some friends over to watch the Carolina vs. Duke basketball game on Saturday night.

This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.

Girlfriend Shopping Time

First, let’s talk about a shopping day for just girls.

We both started our girlfriend shopping time, saying we didn’t need anything. Just going to look! LOL

We started at a wholesale florist supply warehouse, and we both quickly loaded our carts.

I’ll be sharing some of the great finds on some Spring projects.

We then stopped by Spade and Broom’s Spring Opening. The shop is located in an old farmhouse and is filled with a wonderful mix of old and new. They are open Thurs.-Sat. and the shop is filled with Spring inspiration right now.

You’ll see some fun things I found as we move into Spring. In the meantime, here is a glimpse of this great shop.

Hi Rachel, I've been admiring your cozy bedroom for some time and took the plunge and ordered the bedspread/quilt, shams and the 12x20 pillow cover. Love them as much as I did seeing them in your bedroom! I have an adjustable bed and cannot use a dust ruffle, so this gives me the look I wanted. Just want to say thanks for inspiring posts, enjoy them all. Bonnie
