Simple Christmas Porch Decorations: Quick and Easy Ideas for 2025

In the spirit of keeping things simple this Christmas, I’ve just finished with my quick and easy front porch decorations for 2025. These simple Christmas porch decorations only take a few minutes to put together and combine both fresh and artificial greenery. Although it’s simple, it’s still on trend thanks to fresh-looking velvet bows and greenery options. Let me quickly show you how I decorated the porch this year.

Decorating the Front Doors

I began my porch decorating with the French doors. I rarely put wreaths on the doors, but this year I decided to go all out with a trio of faux pine wreaths hanging from a velvet ribbon. I used two 24″ Norfolk pine real touch wreaths and four mini-wreaths.

I used a brown velvet ribbon to hang the three wreaths, then added a cream velvet ribbon tie to each of the quick-and-easy door wreaths. I decided to leave the wreaths bare except for the ribbons for a simple Christmas style.

The velvet ribbons match Rudy’s coloring, so he had to make an appearance in the photo shoot.

The French doors were further enhanced with two faux garlands hung above them.

Front Porch Planters For Christmas

Last year, I went all out, making large fresh boxwood and magnolia tree topiaries for the two planters. This year, I went for a much quicker and easier style. I decorated the front porch planter with simple, fresh magnolia stems mixed with faux pine stems.

Quick and Easy Planter Arrangement

I thought I’d quickly share how I made the planter arrangement.

  • First, I gathered several fresh magnolia stems from our trees.
  • And, I found 12 authentic-looking faux pine stems for a good price on Amazon. All they needed was a little fluffing.
  • For the containers, I found two old flower pots still filled with potting soil. The used soil was packed hard, and so I didn’t need any styrofoam for my arrangement.

  • To begin the arrangement, I added a layer of magnolia stems around the edges of the pots, pushing the stems into the packed soil.

  • Then, I added the faux pine stems to the soil, bending them to drape over the magnolia leaves.
  • Finally, I added more magnolia stems, using one tall one at the center of the arrangement to add height.
  • Lastly, I added the flower pots to my DIY Faux Galvanized Planters on either side of the front doors.

The planters were quick and easy to arrange and will continue to look good through the holiday season. The faux pine stems include small faux pinecones to tie in with my Christmas theme this year.

Additional Christmas Decorations To Enhance the Front Porch

In addition to the planter and French door decorations, I added a few more Christmas Decorations to complete the simple style.

To the right of the door, I added a simple bare Christmas tree in a basket, and a thrifted stool holds a favorite snowman. The porch rocker is draped with a plaid throw blanket and a snowman pillow.

To the left of the French doors, the planter is surrounded by reindeer sporting cream-colored velvet bows, another simple Christmas tree, and decorative boxwood spheres.

Simple accessories are spread throughout the porch, drawing attention to other seating areas.

The warm and inviting porch is anchored with an oversized rug in neutral colors. The door shutters and address sign are both DIY projects.

It only took me about an hour to hang the trio of wreaths and arrange the planters. This might be the quickest and easiest Christmas porch decorating idea to date. I hope you like it. I want to thank you, faithful model, Rudy. He always tries to steal the show. LOL!
