Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures – Welcome February! This is where we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures.
Well, hello to February! I’m in shock that January is over. Where does the time go?
Our weather returned to normal this past week, but I spied my daffodils breaking ground, and I know they will get frostbite. It’s too early for these buds, even if Phil did predict an early Spring.

Adventures at the End of the Dirt Road
This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.
Have you been out to the thrift stores this week? I stopped in at several of my favorite shops and left empty-handed. I had such good luck the previous week, but that’s what thrifting is like. Some days are better than others.
I am in the middle of several projects coming your way soon. Remember the thrifted lamp from last week? It’s really coming together, and I ordered a new lampshade that will arrive next week.
So, with some projects on hold, I traveled to the beach on Thursday to catch up with my husband. He has been there all week helping with a neighbor’s house.
Rudy was so happy to see his daddy, and so was I. Since he retired, we have rarely been apart.
Adventures I’ve Had This Past Week
Do you have one of those TV Cabinets that you no longer own a TV that’s small enough to fit inside? This is how you can easily make it into a Jewelry Cabinet or Lingerie Cabinet by repurposing it.
Are you feeling the chill of winter? Maybe it’s time to snuggle in to create a cozy winter bedroom retreat. Want to upgrade your bedroom but don’t want to break the bank? You don’t have to spend a fortune to decorate a bedroom with these budget-friendly tips. You’ll see cheap winter bedroom ideas to create a romantic, warm, and cozy retreat.
If you have an old silverware wooden box, wait until you see how to repurpose it into a usable storage box. This is one of my favorite upcycled trash-to-treasure projects. If you don’t have one, you will be checking thrift stores after you see this transformation.
Y’all, I love collecting vintage candlesticks holders when shopping at thrift stores. Today, I’m sharing how to use candles and unique ways to use candlesticks holders for budget-friendly decorating.
If you love the eclectic look of Anthropologie but operate on a Dollar Tree budget, wait until you see how you can craft these two decorative trays for $10.00 or less. This Anthropologie dupe is inspired by two of this season’s adorable trays: one large tray and another smaller monogrammed trinket tray. The best part is that you can customize the Dollar Tree trays to work within your decor style.
Want to give your home instant authentic farmhouse charm? You will be amazed how adding repurposed antique doors will impact a newer home. See how using vintage doors and antique door hardware will infuse your home with an authentic old farmhouse feel.
