Dirt Road Adventures – Thrifting For Fall Decor

Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures – Thrifting For Fall Decor. Each Sunday, we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures.

Was your week way too short? We didn’t return home until Wednesday, and I’m having difficulty getting back in the swing of things.

However, there is still so much I want to share with you.

Adventures at the End of the Dirt Road

This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.

Once we were back home, I made an emergency trip to Dollar Tree to pick up some supplies for new projects.

You know I can’t drive by a thrift store without stopping in. I have been out of town for two weeks, and I just knew there would be some treasures.

Why Shop Thrift Stores for Fall

I wasn’t wrong because the shops were full of Fall treasures.

Everyone is pulling out their fall decor from storage, and items they have had for years now appear ordinary. So many things are donated, and that’s good news for you.

These seemly tired old Autumn decorations can be transformed and given new life in your home this fall.

Thrifting For Fall Decor Haul

When I headed out this week, I was thrifting for Fall decor, and these are the items I scored after visiting two thrift stores last week.

I couldn’t grab up the turkey planter and salt and pepper shakers fast enough. The planter may get a makeover, but it looks pretty good as it is.

Y’all know I rarely leave vintage milk glass behind, and I was so lucky this week. A large fruit bowl, a stunning cake stand, and another bud vase were added to my collection. You might say, but that’s not fall decor, but I beg to differ. Wait until you see how I’m already decorating with it.

The large straw wreath is brand new and was less than $3.00. I can always use wreaths; this one is large, so it was a great deal.

I have big plans for the witch’s brew pot, so stay tuned.

I’ve already used many recent milk glass purchases for Fall decorating.

Both the cake stand and the fruit bowl were last week’s finds. Neutral white milk glass has a timeless appeal. You can layer pieces with natural materials to add a stylish, laid-back elegance to any decor style, from rustic to contemporary.

You sure had a great run in the thrift stores. I was in Washington, but had zero luck in the thrift stores. However that won't stop me, LOL... I ll be back at it this week. Have a great week Rachel.
