Cozy Valentine Bedroom Ideas

Our guest bedroom is seeing very little action since the holidays are behind us. Therefore, I decided to decorate it with all my Cozy Valentine Bedroom Ideas.

Since most of the farmhouse is decorated in neutrals, I love experimenting with color in the guest bedroom.

We rarely have guests staying at the farmhouse, so I can be more creative in this space.

In addition, the guest room is filled with many vintage heirlooms, including the iron bed frame, repurposed antique chair, and old window screens.

A repurposed gun cabinet that my dad built is filled with thrifted decor and family photos.

Valentine Bedroom Ideas

After removing the Christmas decor, I left the black, red, and white color palettes to decorate for winter.

Leaving the reds in place made this a perfect room to add Valentine’s touches.

Valentine’s Decorations Throughout The House

I love adding a few Valentine’s Day Touches and below are some posts that you might enjoy and get some additional inspiration from.

Wall Decor

A few years ago, I made DIY book wall shelves to hold plates next to the antique metal ceiling tile.

For Valentine’s, they also hold two snowbirds dressed in buffalo print with black and red plaid plates to add a touch of winter.

In addition, a wintery preserved wreath does double duty for Valentine’s Decor.

Repurposed Antique Chair

I love decorating the guest room with antique and vintage thrift store finds. One such treasure is the antique chair that was deconstructed and recovered with DIY Feed Sack fabric made from a drop cloth.

The old chair adds a rustic charm to the bedside with a vintage quilt heart and one of my aunt’s vintage crochet pillows.

In addition, a stack of vintage red books is perched on a small stool beside the chair.

Next to the chair is a rescued thrift store vintage chest of drawers. After repairing the damaged corner, it was painted with Old White Chalk paint. The inexpensive chest looks fresh and new after a little tender loving care.

A combination of thrifted finds, vintage soda bottles, and a boat painting is used to decorate the chest.

In addition, another thrifted vintage quilt heart adds a Valentine’s touch to the space.

Vintage Handmade Repurposed Gun Cabinet

Although we do not need a gun cabinet, I was determined to keep this handmade one.

My dad built the cabinet before I was born, so I guess it’s really an antique. LOL

To repurpose it, we added shelving and some paint. Although small, it’s perfect for holding family photos and some old quilts.

The DIY wall lamps hang over a pair of vintage window screens salvaged from an old house.

Because the space is limited, this non-traditional lighting option was a perfect solution.

Thrifted Valentine’s Decor Ideas

Another DIY project using vintage finds is this vintage picture frame. It holds an old skeleton key mounted on a vintage book page.

Cozy Valentine’s Decor Ideas

Although the buffalo print pillow covers and flannel plaid blanket were used during the holidays, they work perfectly to make the bedroom cozy for Valentine’s Decor ideas.

I would stay there and have the lovliest time looking around and all the fun decor. And I adore that chest of drawers and that you have a clear door cabinet in there too. All perfect for Valentine's!
