Dirt Road Adventures: Cool Fall Days and A Week of Recovery
Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures! This is where we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures here at the end of our Dirt Road.
Hey friends,
First, this week brought cooler days, so it officially feels like fall in the south. I shared some fun fall crafts and a perfect road trip if you are anywhere near me. I really wish I could have spent Saturday exploring all the treasures along the NC Pottery Highway, but I was in my isolation period, so I had to stay home and play it safe.

The beginning of the week was rough as I was recovering from chemo treatment #5. However, the good news is that I’m feeling much better now and am actually working on some new fall projects that I’ll be sharing soon. A huge weight was lifted as I received good news from an MRI I had this past week. I’m still sharing all the details, the good, the bad, and the ugly, if you’d like to catch up on My Healing Journal.

What’s in my Cart
Hey friends, for the first time ever, I barely took advantage of Prime Days last week. But here are a few things that I just received.
- I ordered several but finally got just the right shade of coral in this button down shirt. I wasn’t sure about the fabric description but I really like the linen feel.
- I ordered this glass paint for an upcoming project along with these tip applicator bottles.
- These Thanksgiving Homestead Harvest Turkey Dinner Plates are amazing and such a great deal.
- And these cool booties are so comfortable and stylish. Can’t wait to wear them out.

Suzanne,
I appreciate this more than you will ever know. I feel so lifted up by your message. Thank you for your continued support.
“Where our strength runs out, God’s strength begins.”
This was one of my favorite quotes from 2018 when both of my Army sons were going through Ranger School together. Knowing that God would be the force they needed when they were exhausted and hanging by a thread to keep going gave me hope, energy and great comfort throughout the testing phases they were trying to pass. They both earned their Ranger Tabs and the fight you’re in reminds me of their path and struggles and I know that God is right there with you as you journey through this fight! I am so proud of how you are handling all you’ve been faced with. You and Brad are an amazing team and I’ll continue to keep you both in my daily prayers! It’s so lovely to see your posts each day and be reminded to keep you guys lifted up!!! Go Rachel, Go!!!
Katy
Thank you so much for all your encouragement and continued support. The darkest days are behind us and I’m looking forward to celebrating with a heal body soon. I appreciate you and your messages! Have a blessed day.
