Dirt Road Adventures: May Days

Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures: May Days! This is where we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures.

Hey friends,

I’m so glad you stopped by. It’s the middle of May, and it’s already been a busy month.

We have celebrated Mother’s Day, my daughter’s birthday and tomorrow is our 45th wedding anniversary. It’s hard to believe we have been together for 47 1/2 years. We were such babies when we married, but it has been an amazing adventure. We have both changed drastically from the shy 21 and 19-year-olds we were. Thankfully, all those changes have been hand in hand, and I couldn’t be more thankful for my faithful, loving husband.

Instead of waiting until Monday to celebrate, we had a dinner for just the two of us on Saturday night. Tomorrow will be filled with already scheduled activities like grooming Rudy, rotating tires, inspecting the car, etc.- such romantic anniversary activities. LOL

Adventures at the End of the Dirt Road

This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.

We did find a great deal on some new-to-us outdoor furniture. We have been looking for a new table for the poolside and are loving this great deal. We cleaned and repainted the pieces on Friday. They look brand new. It’s been a rainy weekend, so we didn’t move them to the pool. However, I can’t wait for you to see how they look, so stay tuned.

Thrifted outdoor table and chairs.

The pollen has finally disappeared, and we removed the vinyl curtains from our screened porch. It feels so good to have the breeze blowing through there again. Rudy loves the porch so much and would stay there 24-7, if we let him.

Love your wedding photo so much Rachel. You guys are totally gorgeous! I'm super excited about your patio furniture. We're getting the house painted soon and are having to do the porches and the patio at the same time and goodness gracious I have been shocked by how expensive outdoor furniture has become. It's totally bananas. I'm off to dive into your links and really appreciate you including my urns in the mix. They're messy but super easy! Big hugs, CoCo
