Dirt Road Adventures – In A Previous Life

Welcome to another week of Dirt Road Adventures!

Dirt Road Adventures – In A Previous Life is about taking a look back and giving you a glimpse of what I did before I started blogging.

I thought it might be fun to see how much you know about me.

In addition, you’ll see what’s been happening here at the end of the Dirt Road and some of the exciting things my friends have been doing off the dirt road.

My Previous Life Adventures

First, let’s see if you can guess which of these statements are true.

  • I was a National Trainer for a Cosmetic Company.
  • I was a certified yoga instructor & co-owner of a yoga studio.
  • I designed & made wearable art clothing.

The Truth before the Dirt Road

Well, if you guessed that all three were true, you’d be right.

I was an Executive Director and National Trainer for BeautiControl Cosmetics for over 25 years.

2010 – Senior Trainer & Executive Director

During that time, my daughter and I opened a yoga studio. I trained weekends in Asheville, NC for 9 months to become a certified yoga instructor.

And lastly, in 2012, I began a clothing design business. I repurposed used clothing into wearable art designs. Although I’m not currently making the clothing, I still have a mini shop that sells, clothing and accessories in Downtown Asheboro, NC.

Other Life Adventures

In addition to the above, I worked as an independent insurance agent for 12 years. During that time I did craft shows selling my hand painted items. While we had the yoga studio, I attended multiple classes for faux finishing and worked as a designer, faux finisher and curtain maker for several years.

I am very self motivated and love the challenge all my adventures have given me.

Thank you so much for joining me on my latest adventure.

Stay tuned for some before photo’s at the end of this post.

This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.

The week began with 3 Ways to Decorate a Sofa Table for Spring. Next, I shared how to make an inexpensive Moss Shamrock Placemat which I planned to use on a Tablescape.

The St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape is part of our Virtual Supper Club Series. Then on Saturday, we shared our menu and all the recipes for a fun St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Party. The Baked Chicken Reuben Recipe is perfect for St. Paddy’s Day.
