Dirt Road Adventures: Our First Trick or Treater, Welcome November & The Holidays!

Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures! This is where we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures here at the end of our Dirt Road.

This is our 9th Halloween at the farmhouse, and just when I said we never have trick-or-treaters, guess what —we had our first. Our great-nephew, Sawyer is only 7 months old, but he enjoyed getting a toy treat instead of candy. Rudy couldn’t stop giving him kisses.

I’m so excited that it’s November. I’ve not done much for fall this year, so I decided to skip it and start on Christmas. I have my tree up, but not all the trimmings. I have a few ornament ideas that I’ll be making and adding to the tree soon.

I had another week of recovery from my 6th Chemo treatment, so it was almost the weekend before I felt like creating or decorating. You can catch up on my Healing Journal here.

Why Didn’t I Think of That?

There are so many wonderful blog posts each week, and I’m sharing some of my favorites with you today.

There are so many creative ideas, and I’m always asking myself, “Why didn’t I think of that”? LOL

What’s In My Cart

  • Remember those Real Touch Norfolk Pine Wreaths I mentioned last week. They arrived, and I love the quality. Two for $49.99 is a good deal.
  • We already have several of these motion sensor night lights, but I decided we needed more, so I ordered two more. They are perfect for all those nights I’ve been up and down.
  • I’m adding these bird ornaments to my tree this year.
  • I started working on my new ornaments using these blown glass globes. Can’t wait for you to see them.
