Dirt Road Adventures: A Winter Storm, Valentine Ideas, & First Infusion
Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures! This is where we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures here at the end of our Dirt Road.

Hey Friends, I hope you are staying warm as this winter storm rolls through. We are supposed to be getting ice that may result in major power outages. We are hoping the forecast is wrong. However, we’ve done everything we can to prepare by stocking up on food and ensuring that our generator is working properly. If you are in the path of this storm, I hope you are safe.
I had a fun week on the blog with another new-old-school craft that you seem to love. I had so many people say this brought back happy childhood memories. I’ve also started sharing some new Valentine’s ideas and have more to come.
My brother has started making wooden bowls, and he brought me a few to choose from. They were all so unique, but I fell in love with the little piece made of pecan wood with lots of wormholes. Isn’t it unique? I love it just as it is, and I’m so excited to see what he makes next.

In health news, I started the new infusion on Friday and have had no side effects so far. You can see more about my doctor’s visit and infusion on My Healing Journal.

I have done these potholders before and had the loom which I have no idea where it is. We did them as Brownies or Girl Scots can’t remember. LOL
Diana,
Working with these old crafts brings back such memories. I hope you find your loom. I wish I had the one from my childhood. It was homemade and much better than today’s versions. LOL. Have a blessed week.
Rachel,
Happy to hear the infusion went well and you’ve had no issues. Praise God! Prayers for your safety during Winter Storm Fern. Since Friday, we here in West Texas have had freezing temps, freezing rain, sleet, ice and snow, and more snow is predicted for today. I am not a fan of any of it. Thank you for all the blog inspiration and the updates on your healing journal.
Marcie,
Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. We didn’t get the severe weather that was predicted and didn’t lose power. We are thankful. Stay warm and have a blessed week.
