Basket Decorating Idea’s for Fall Centerpiece
First, my version of the fall basket decorating idea centers around a thrift store basket arranged on the screen porch outdoor table.
The basket centerpiece is filled with fall pumpkins and stems. The surrounding tables and light fixture also include some decorative fall elements.
How To Make The Basket Arrangement
First, let’s add a jute table runner to the center of the table. Then begin by filling the large basket with an old clay pot and fall florals.
The basket’s bottom is round, so I used a heavy clay pot to weigh it down and keep it tilted on its side.
In addition, I decided to use a large floral candle ring around the base of the clay pot.
Next, let’s add some more florals to either the basket or the clay pot. You can choose individual stems or a connected floral bush to fill in around the pumpkins.
Luckily, I have a matching floral bush, which is the perfect size to fill the clay pot and provides just the right balance with the other items.
Finally, a faux pumpkin fits perfectly inside the basket, and a few gourds and dried okra pods surround the larger pumpkin and appear to spill from the basket.
Additional Fall Touches
In addition to the centerpiece basket, a few pumpkins and floral stems were added to the DIY light fixture over the table.
Another great idea for Fall decorating is to look for vintage needlework art. This needlepoint barn works great with this fall table.
In addition, you might like to see more Thrift Store Decor ideas for decorating with inexpensive thrifted finds.
Since the barn art is a smaller print, it works best layered over a couple of larger old windows. Adding layers of artwork and architectural salvage is one of my favorite decorating tips. You can read more about layering artwork and Shelf Styling Tips here.
In addition, the wood slice holds a vintage amber bottle filled with DIY Sweet Gum Ball Stems and dried Okra pods. The vignette is surrounded by vintage brass candlesticks with orange candles.
Finally, let’s add a few more pumpkins and fall napkins to the vintage ice chest to add a touch of fall decor throughout the screened porch. You might like to see last year’s table decorated for fall.
How Can You Reuse Seasonal Decor?
Everything I used to create this table centerpiece was pulled from my seasonal storage bins.
Regardless of how many times you use your seasonal decor, you can make it look new again by using it in a new location around your home.
Many of these items were used on the front porch last year, and you can seeย Best Ideas for Decorating a Porch for Fallย for more ways to decorate with them.
