Dirt Road Adventures: Closing out May, A Week of DIY Projects and Healing.

Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures! This is where we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures here at the end of our Dirt Road.

Wheel Barrow with hydrangeas

Hey Friends,

I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. We are settling back at home, and it’s been a long week of recovering from what they think was pneumonia. Lots of appointments this week, including another infusion. I’ve shared all the details on My Healing Journal.

As we close out May, I’m hoping to get back to a normal routine this week, and that my health will be much improved. I’m looking forward to seeing what June has in store for us.

I am ready to get some of my new ideas on the blog this coming month. My hydrangeas are starting to bloom and I’m planning some table centerpiece ideas next week. So stay tuned.

Why Didn’t I Think of That?

There are so many wonderful blog posts each week, and I’m sharing some of my favorites with you today.

There are so many creative ideas, and I’m always asking myself, “Why didn’t I think of that”? LOL

Make It & I’ll Share It

Nothing makes my day like knowing I have helped inspire your creativity. Your comments are always welcome, and I love seeing your projects come to life. Here is one from last week.

I recently shared this thrift store china cabinet makeover and Teresa Brown was inspired to share her hutch makeover. It’s amazing what a little paint can do to an uninspiring piece of furniture. Click the link if you’d like to see more repurposed furniture and thrifted decor ideas.

What’s In My Cart

I’ve been slowly getting back my love of fashion and sharing some of my finds. I feel it’s important to feel good about how we dress but it shouldn’t cost a fortune. My aproach to clothing and accessories is the same as my home decor style. I try to purchase budget-friendly clothing that looks high-end with the occasional splurge. I find that mixing designer with budget knock-offs that quality dupes gives you a flawless look and no one can tell the dupes from the real designer pieces. Here are some styles I recently shared and stay tuned for more in the coming weeks. In addition, I share all my home decor dupe and designer knock-off finds on these platforms as well. Just click the links for all the details.

First, same top two ways! Black & White Strip Blouse With Culottes vs. Black & White Blouse with Jeans & Sneakers. Then another striped top with striped pants for a casual summer look.

This red & white sweater is so comfortable and so are the white jeans. Another fun beach style with this graphic tee and the same jeans in pink. Yes, I have two colors because they are so comfortable. See all the shoes and accessories at the links.

Above are recent outdoor pillow finds from Amazon, and then some high-end designer pillow finds.

Note: You can follow me on LTK by clicking here and see all my finds and styling tips as soon as they post. You can also follow me on Amazon for my dupe finds.
