How I Decorated My King of Christmas Tree: Review & Decor Guide

Hey friends! I’m so excited to share my new King of Christmas tree with you. I’ve been wanting a taller tree for our home, but because our space is limited, finding the right fit was key. When the company reached out and offered to send their 9’ King Fraser Fir Slim Artificial Christmas Tree for a review, I jumped at the chance.
This is my very first King of Christmas tree, and I am beyond impressed. I opted for the unlit slim version, and honestly, the branches are so full and realistic that it looked stunning even before adding a single ornament. Let’s dive into my honest review and how I styled it in our home this year!

Delivery and Set-up Experience
The tree arrived within a few days of the order in a heavy-duty box. The box contained four sections of the tree and the stand. In addition, it came with a storage bag with a zipper closure.
Brad assembled the tree within minutes, and then it was ready for me to fluff.

My job was to fluff the branches, and I’ve never had a tree with so many needles. I fluffed each branch individually, which took more time than I expected. When I was finished, there were no holes where light could filter through. It was amazing how full it was. It was by far the fullest tree I’ve ever had. Honestly, it’s so full that it’s hard to hang larger ornaments on the branches because there’s no space to nestle them in.
Tree Size and Unlit Option Choice
The reason I chose the King Fraser Fir Slim is due to my limited space. The best spot is at the bottom of my staircase in the corner. The 46″ diameter is perfect for that spot. It allows room to enter the bedroom and the stairs easily.
I wanted to add my own lights so that I could control how many and their brightness. With my previous pre-lit trees, the lighting was sparse, and if you added more lights, they didn’t match. I chose to use strands of 40 ft 1200 LED Cluster String Lights. Once the lights were on the tree, I could have stopped decorating right then. The fullness of the tree with the lights was stunning.

Styling My King Of Christmas Tree
After seeing the tree, my vision changed slightly. I wanted to use the pinecones from last season, and some of my DIY Snow Globe ornaments for sure. Usually, I fill the tree with stems and ornaments, but instead I decided to add pops of red.
I pulled out all my vintage shiny bright red ornaments and added these red berries that have a slightly frosted detail.

Instead of a tree skirt, I wrapped the tree base with a DIY quilted tablecloth. Then I placed my vintage nativity scene on a stool beneath the tree.
