What is a Friendsgiving Brunch?
The idea of Friendsgiving has grown rapidly since 2020 COVID-19. When friends felt safe gathering again, creating an extra reason to celebrate was a welcomed idea.
In addition to traditional Thanksgiving gatherings, Friendsgiving is a gathering of friends to celebrate all the things we are thankful for.
Therefore, a Friendsgiving brunch is a gathering of friends for a mid-morning meal. The menu will consist of light breakfast fare as well as traditional lunch items.

Supper Club – Friendsgiving Ladies Brunch
As a result, this month, we decided on a Friendsgiving Lady’s Brunch as our Supper Club theme.
If you are joining us for the first time, we are a group of friends who love to entertain and when entertaining in person wasn’t recommended last year, we started a virtual supper club in January 2021.
Each month we choose a theme for our dinner tables, which we post on the 4th Thursday of each month.
Next, we each share the recipes and menu to complete the meal on the 4th Saturday.
Each month we have one guest blogger joining us and I’m so excited to have Cindy from County Road 407 joining us for October.
If you are hopping over from Simply 2 Moms, welcome. I know that you loved AnnMarie’s beautiful Friendsgiving Table.

Setting Up For Friendsgiving Brunch
First, you need to determine the location of your Friendsgiving Brunch.
I decided the greenhouse would be the ideal location for gathering with friends.
Fall is a great time to be in the greenhouse because the weather outside is cool, but the inside is warm.

The Friendsgiving Brunch Centerpiece
The greenhouse table is 8 feet long, allowing for a large centerpiece.
First, I used a vintage French cheeseboard to gather all the centerpiece pieces.

The centerpiece inspiration was the two woven cornucopias I recently found on our trip to Asheville, NC.
The larger one is filled with mini white pumpkins and greenery. While the smaller one holds sedum autumn joy blooms.

On another recent visit to Wilmington, NC, I was lucky to find this cute vintage Majolica Turkey. She is filled with asparagus fern from the garden.

In addition, several vintage brass candlesticks holding white candles are surrounded by dried berries and fern.

The base of the cheese board is surrounded by a combination of corn stalks, wheat garland, Sedum’ Autumn Joy’ blooms, asparagus fern, and faux gourdes.

Friendsgiving Table Decor
For this occasion, I gathered my harvest-inspired thrift store finds to create a warm and inviting table setting.
The Place Setting
A favorite find at the thrift store is Golden Wheat Dishes. I’ve never found a complete set at one time, so my pieces have been gathered over time.

I recently found these wheat bowls with the blue rim. I didn’t hesitate to add them to my growing collection.
These thrifted finds, along with white plate chargers and woven placemats, complete each place setting.

Another thrifting adventure resulted in these wheat glasses. They are perfect to complete the harvest-inspired brunch table setting.
The wine glasses are another favorite, a thrift store find that’s inexpensive.

The Cutlery and Cutlery Pockets
Additionally, I incorporated gold cutlery to complement the golden wheat dishes, featuring a beautiful gold rim.

The cutlery pockets from Cutlery Couture add a rustic touch to the place setting.

Additional Table Decor for Friendsgiving Brunch
The Friendsgiving Table Decor wouldn’t be complete without a few more rustic touches.
The woven basket vase holds a combination of dried fern and faux fall stems and is situated at the end of the table.

A cheesecloth table runner softens the rustic table setting and is long enough for the extra-long table.
