Dirt Road Adventures: The Road Ahead, Thrifting Trends, & Winter Decorating

Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures! This is where we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures here at the end of our Dirt Road.

Hey Friends,

How’s your January going so far? I feel I’m slowly returning to a normal schedule and can focus on decorating the house for Winter. I have so many ideas and projects I want to do, but last week I played catch-up with several doctor visits that had to wait until after my chemo was finished. This week, I plan to get back on track and complete all my projects, LOL. That probably will not happen, but I do hope to finish my winter decorating and do some thrifting. Did you see What to Thrift for in 2026? I’ve got some items on my list that I’m eager to find.

I shared the update from my doctor’s visit on My Healing Journal, and I feel at peace with the decision to proceed with both the medication and infusions suggested. You can read all about it in My Healing Journal.

Next week, look for more new ideas for DIY, Thrifting, and January decorating. In the meantime, here are last week’s posts, in case you missed them.

    1. Katy,
Thank you for your kind words. I would go crazy if I didn’t keep going. LOL. I’m mind will not shut down and even when I try to relax with a magazine for example, I’ll see somehing that sparks a new idea and off I go. You are so kind to keep up with me and my journey.
