Dirt Road Adventures – Happy New Year!

Finally it’s 2021 and everyone is hoping for a better year!

This week on Dirt Road Adventures I’ll be doing a final recap of 2020! We are looking forward to a Happy New Year!

Although, 2020 was a hard year, there have been many accomplishments and as I approach one year on the Blog, I wanted to share my favorite project of the past year.

Favorite Dirt Road Adventure – The DIY Greenhouse

Although the Greenhouse construction didn’t make the top 10 posts for last year, it is definitely my favorite thing about the year.

Not only the construction but all the projects that followed as a result. The DIY Apothecary / Card Catalog Cabinet was the #2 favorite post of the year.

You know that my husband and I built the greenhouse all by ourselves. There were a few tense moments because my husband had to do all the heavy lifting and ladder climbing. Here are a few of the outtake moments when he didn’t appreciate my input. LOL

Don’t tell him I shared these photo’s! LOL

We learned so much during this construction that we hope to never need to use again. Seriously, I’m amazed that we did it. You can see the full construction process on this post.

Tips for New Year’s Eve at Home

I also shared some fun tips for spending New Year’s Eve at home since most people were unable to get together for the celebration. Some of these tips will make great party ideas as well.

Why Didn’t I Think of That?

Each week, there are so many wonderful blog posts, and I’m sharing some of my favorites with you today.

There are so many creative ideas, and I’m always asking myself, “Why didn’t I think of that”? LOL

This post includes two of my favorite bloggers and a favorite share from their blogs this past year!

Y’all know how much I love free, foraged décor and we have pinecones in abundance. Michele shared how to bleach pinecones and I can’t wait to try this technique. In addition, Michele shared her creative New Year’s Eve table on Instagram and here is a link for you to watch. I love how creative she is.

I thought this table center piece by Leslie was outstanding.

What’s New on the Dirt road?

I’m so excited to start this year of projects, decorating and hopefully, some entertaining.

I value your input and will be happy to try to provide you with posts that are of interest to you. If you have any ideas or decorating challenges that you’d like for me to cover, please let me know.

Once again, I couldn’t do this without your support! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Y’all have the best day!

xoxo,

Rachel

I have so enjoyed " getting to know you and the things you love." Retirement has opened the door( teacher for 38 years) for my creativity to be expressed in different ways. Thank you for the inspirations!
