Dirt Road Adventures – Getting Back To The Thrift Stores

Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures – Getting Back To the Thrift Stores! Each Sunday, we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures.

Y’all know that I have been itching to get back to the thrift stores. This past week, I shared tips for thrift store shopping, my favorite finds of last year, and how to decorate with them. Plus, what to thrift for in the new year, trends, and vintage must-haves.

We actually had some thrifting adventures for the first time since before Christmas. We shopped at an antique mall and a few charity thrift shops.

Although the antique mall had several interesting pieces, many were not budget-friendly. However, I had better luck at the donation thrift stores.

Be sure to check out this week’s finds at the end of today’s Dirt Road Adventures!

Adventures I’ve Had This Past Week

Here are some behind-the-scenes from our thrifting adventures last week.

One of the booths was filled with copper, breadboards, and other fun antiques. This year, I’m hoping to add to my art collections and folk art pieces. The antique mall had several art pieces that I’d like to add to my collection, but the prices didn’t work within my budget.

It was such an honor to receive the Spring issue of Farmhouse Style Magazine and see my decoupaged Easter eggs featured.

I love how the magazine recognizes creators, and many of my blogging friends also are featured in this issue.

You will see DIY projects by these ladies that I have previously featured on Dirt Road Adventures:

In addition, some of my favorite Instagram homes were featured this time. Margy from The Old House On Main, and Kari from Galvanized Chic Boutique both have such great style, and you can see their homes decorated for Spring in the latest issue of Country Sampler Farmhouse Style Magazine.

Thrift Store Finds

This past week, I was back in the thrift stores and found these great finds.

I love the garden print and the still-life apple canvas to add to my art collections. A vintage planter, a unique bottle, and an antique small mirror round out last week’s treasures.

Thanks for stopping by, and I look forward to sharing my next adventures with you.
