Preparation for Spread

Begin by zesting two lemons and set aside.

Next, chop the red pepper and green onions into small pieces.

Add the chopped vegetables to a chopping board. Then add feta cheese and pistachio nuts to the mixture.

Begin to chop all the ingredients on the chopping board, mixing as you chop.

Once pistachios and onions are finely chopped, add the red pepper and lemon zest to the mixture.

Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and celery salt, and continue to chop and mix.

Easy Zesty Appetizer Recipe

Ingredients

  • 5 Tbsp. Chopped Green Onion
  • 3 oz. Feta Cheese Crumbles
  • 3 Tbsp. Salted Pistachio Nuts
  • 8 ox. cream cheese - softened
  • Lemon Zest of Two Lemons
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped Red Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. celery salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Zest two lemons
  2. Chop Red Pepper
  3. Chop Green Onions
  4. Add Onion, red pepper, feta cheese, and Pistachios to a chopping block.
  5. Chop until finely chopped
  6. Add Lemon zest, Red Pepper, Celery Salt, Salt & Pepper
  7. Chop and Mix again
  8. Add mixture to Soften Cream Cheese in mixing bowl
  9. Mix until smooth
  10. Add to a serving dish
  11. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  12. Garnish with Pistachio Nuts and Pomegranate seeds for color
  13. Serve with Crostini, bagels, crackers, etc.

Notes

This recipe can be made into a Cheese Ball if desired—Roll Cheese Ball in Finely Chopped Pistachios.
