- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion chopped
- 1/4 tsp. butter
- 1 large can crushed tomatoes
- 1 -16 oz. can fire roasted diced tomatoes
- 2 -16 oz. cans Dark Kidney Beans
- 1/2 Tbsp. Chili Powder
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp. cumin
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese optional
- Sour Cream optional
- jalapeƱo peppers optional
Chop onion
Add butter and chopped onion to a large skillet
Cook until onion is soft
Add ground beef and cook until browned
Drain any liquid
Add all ingredients to the crock pot
cook on low for a min. of 3 hours.
Serve with Sour Cream and/or Shredded Cheddar Cheese, jalapeno peppers (all Optional)
Do not drain the kidney beans.
You can substitute ground beef for ground turkey if you'd like.
