Easy Cranberry & Apple Bake Recipe

This is one of our families all time favorite recipes for the Holidays

Here’s how to make the super easy Cranberry & Apple Bake Recipe. This is so easy that even I will make it and it’s delicious. Although this is a recipe we typically pull out for Thanksgiving and Christmas, it’s really perfect for any time of the year.

In addition, it’s hard to determine if this is a side dish, appetizer or dessert. My original recipe listed it as a salad so I’ve added it as a side dish. You can make your own determination.

Special Message

I have some exciting news! Next Saturday, I’m starting a new series called Dirt Road Adventures! Each Saturday, I will share what’s been happening here at The Ponds and other adventures that my friends have been sharing during the week. I’m excited about this new adventure and can’t wait to hear how you like the idea. Now for the yummy!

Easy Cranberry & Apple Bake Recipe Ingredients

One advantage of this recipe is the ingredients are not expensive and are easy to find in the stores.

Check out this table riser that is perfect to holiday gatherings.

Chop & Mix

First, let’s pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.

Begin by washing the apples and cranberries and then chop the apples into small pieces. I prefer to use Granny Smith Apples because I like the combination of the green color and the red of the cranberries. However, any tart apple will work well with this recipe.

Toss the apples and cranberries with the 2 Tbls. of plain flour to coat the fruit.

Add sugar

Now add the sugar and mix thoroughly with the fruit. This really is such an easy and quick recipe.

Now you are ready to add this mixture to a greased 2 qt. baking dish.

You are almost half way finished with the Cranberry & Apple Bake.

Make topping for the Cranberry & Apple Bake

Next, mix all the remaining ingredients together with the melted butter. You will then spoon the mixture over the top of the fruit.

Once you have the top covered sufficiently, then you will bake uncovered for 45 minutes.
