Ingredients

  • Box of Dark Chocolate Brownie Mix
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 4 strips of Candied Bacon crumbled
  • 4 Tablespoons Caramel Sauce Divided in half
  • 1 tsp. sea salt smoked bacon flavor

Instructions

  • Preheat the Smoker 350 degrees
  • Stir together eggs, vegetable oil, water and dark chocolate brownie mix according to package directions.
  • Pour 1/2 of brownie mix into a grease baking dish
  • Drizzle 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce over brownie mix.
  • Sprinkle with 1/2 tsp. of the smoked bacon sea salt.
  • Pour remaining brownie mix over the top.
  • Place in smoker and cook for 25 minutes.
  • Remove from smoker
  • Add remaining caramel sauce of the top of the brownies
  • Sprinkle with the remaining sea salt
  • Scatter the crumbled candied bacon evenly over the top.
  • Return to smoker and cook for an additional 20-25 minutes or until you can pull a clean toothpick from the center.
  • Allow to cool and cut into squares.
  • Garnish with a piece of candied bacon if you desire.
  • It can be served with whipped cream or ice cream.

Notes

If you don't have a smoker, you can cook it on a grill with a smoker tube. However, don't place the baking dish over direct heat. Keep it to the side and turn occasionally to cook evenly.
You can also achieve the smokey flavor with liquid smoke and cook it in the oven. When using liquid smoke, be cautious, as a little goes a long way.
