Ingredients

  • Approx. 1 1/2 lbs. Brioche Bread Cut Into Cubes
  • 4 cups half and half
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed tight
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. Vanilla Extract
  • 5 Large Eggs Beaten
  • 1/2 cup dried cherries
  • Sauce Ingredients
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 2 tbsp. bourbon
  • 1 cup confectioner sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Garnish with Premium Cocktail Cherries

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven 350 degrees
  • Butter 9 X 13 Baking Dish
  • In a Large Mixing Bowl, Coat Bread Cubes with Half & Half until well covered.
  • Melt Butter in saucepan and remove from heat
  • Add both sugars and vanilla extract mixing until smooth.
  • Whisk Eggs and add to mixture.
  • Stir until smooth.
  • Pour over the half and half-coated bread cubes. Mix well.
  • Pour into baking dish.
  • Sprinkle with dried cherries and press cherries into the bread mixture.
  • Press all ingredients until everything appears to be under the liquid.
  • Cover the dish and bake 1 hour or until golden brown.

To make the glaze:

  • Melt butter in saucepan and remove from the stove
  • add bourbon and confectioner sugar stirring well.
  • Add heavy cream and stir until very smooth.
  • Pour glaze over cooked pudding and let stand for 15 minutes.
  • Garnish with premium cherries.
  • Best served warm.
