Equipment

  • Cordless Hot Glue Gun
  • Glue Sticks

Materials

  • 2 Thrifts Glass Containers
  • Raffia

Instructions

  • Apply dot of hot glue to glass container
  • Begin approx. 3 inches from bottom on large container and 1-1 1/2 inch on smaller container
  • Attach end of raffia and begin wrapping around the container keeping the raffia even around the edge of the container.
  • Apply more hot glue randomly around the raffia to prevent slipping.
  • Continue around the container until the coverage is approx. 2 inches wide or more.
  • Once you've reached your desired coverage, attach end of raffia with more hot glue.
  • Add sand and candle.

You can substitute the raffia for reed. Due to the extra expense, I opted for raffia.
