Equipment

  • Hot glue gun
  • Finger Protectors
  • Needle and creme thread
  • Gold Metallic paint
  • Scissors

Materials

  • Recycled Toilet Paper Rolls
  • Gather small Twigs
  • Tan Felt Fabric
  • Brown Felt Fabric
  • Gold Ribbon
  • Fur Yarn
  • Aluminum Foil

Instructions

  • Cover Toilet Paper Rolls with Tan Felt Fabric
  • Fold top of roll inward and use needle and thread to stitch in place.
  • Make an oval ball with aluminum foil to make an oval shaped head.
  • Cover the foil with tan felt fabric
  • Attach head to top of roll with hot glue.
  • Add nose and eyes with brown felt fabric and hot glue
  • Add ears with tan fabric cut in an oval shape and pinched together at the bottom. Attach to head with hot glue.
  • Make hat with gold ribbon rolled into a cone shape and attached between the ears with hot glue.
  • Roll 2 six inch long pieces of tan fabric for the arms and legs.
  • Cut one of the the rolls in half and attach each to the upper body at the head with hot glue.
  • Cut the other roll in half and add a circle of brown felt to the bottom of each with hot glue. Set aside.
  • Add fur yarn around the wrist of each arm and a dab at the top of the cone hat. Use hot glue to attach.
  • Paint the twigs with gold paint and allow to dry.
  • Use hot glue to attach to the back of the shoulders and head allowing them to spead outward from the shoulders of the deer.
  • Add fur yarn around the neck and two rows down the center of the body at the front.
  • Attach both legs at the bottom of the tube.
  • Add more fur yarn trim around the bottom of the reindeer body and around the legs at the top and bottom.
