Dirt Road Adventures: Holiday Decorating The First Week of December

Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures! This is where we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures here at the end of our Dirt Road.

Rudy at front door decorated for Christmas

Hey Friends,

I’ve had a good first week of December! I’ve been adding finishing touches to my Christmas decorations and shared some of the details this past week. I finally got the front porch decorated, and I hope you liked this year’s ideas. Rudy loves to be included when I decorate the porch. LOL

Usually, I would have had a chemo treatment scheduled this past Friday, but I’m so thankful those days are behind me. It’s still hard to believe. I’m still updating my journal and sharing what I hope are words of inspiration and hope. You can catch up on the latest at My Healing Journal.

Why Didn’t I Think of That?

There are so many wonderful blog posts each week, and I’m sharing some of my favorites with you today.

There are so many creative ideas, and I’m always asking myself, “Why didn’t I think of that”? LOL

What’s in my Cart

  • I was really happy with these faux pine stems that I used in my porch planters.
  • These small candle rings are just what I needed.
  • I’m really happy with these two Norfolk pine wreaths. I’ve ordered them twice this year.
  • It’s been cold, and I’ve been wearing my faux-fur coat, getting lots of compliments. I wore it on our recent birthday dinner and you can see it below. It’s a great price for the quality, and it’s really warm. The Jeans are so comfortable, I got a second pair in black. And the boots were a great deal from Kohls.

    1. Katy,
It’s so funny how Rudy will come running when I say “want to get your picture taken”. He will sit there for as long as I’m praising him. So glad you like the porch this year. Thank you for your continued prayers and I hope you are having blessed holiday season so far.
