My Favorite Fall Thrift Store Finds And How I Styled Them
Hey friends, as I’ve been pulling out my fall decorations, I’ve realized that most of my absolute favorite pieces are from thrift stores. It’s been so much fun taking a trip down memory lane, revisiting all the ways I’ve styled these thrifted finds over the years. Come along and see some of my favorite fall thrift store finds and how I styled them!

Fall Thrift Store Finds
Seasonal decor is the best, but I don’t want to spend a lot of money on it. You only use it for a few weeks and store it away until next year. Therefore, I browse all the thrift stores for inexpensive decor and have found some amazing deals. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite fall thrift store finds and how I’ve decorated my home with them.
Fall Pheasant Mantel Decor
Y’all, I was so excited when I found this gold pheasant for a steal. She was gold but faded, so I used Antique Rub N Buff and did a quick touch-up. Now my sweet fall pheasant looks brand new. I’ve used her on my mantel for a couple of years.
My gold pheasant mingles well with the DIY Dryer Ball Pumpkins, the Dollar Tree Pumpkin Topiaries, and the Old Book Page Leaf Garland. Click the highlighted links for more details.

Fall Tableware
You can find so many great dishes, glassware, and small decorative tableware while thrifting.
I found six of these adorable leaf dishes for only $3.00, and I’ve used them every fall. They are perfect for creating a fall or Thanksgiving tablescape.

A couple of years ago, Pottery Barn sold these white turkeys for Thanksgiving. When I ran across a set almost identical, I snatched them up to create the Pottery Barn Look Alike. It was a super easy project involving spray paint, and I use them every Thanksgiving.

Autumn-Inspired Dishes
I’ve been collecting Golden Wheat dishes for several years. I keep adding one or two at a time. A few years ago, I found the wheat glasses and love combining them on a fall table. Last year, instead of setting the table with them, I added them to a vintage toolbox for a table centerpiece.
These stunning maple leaf salad plates are another easy way to add a touch of autumn flair to a table setting. This table setting includes the inexpensive maple leaf dishes, DIY decoupage pumpkins, and Fall Leaf Charger Plates, perfect for a fall or Thanksgiving table.

I use a set of vintage dinner plates every fall. I found them at a Salvation Army thrift store years ago. Each autumn they are perfect for indoor entertaining or alfresco dining. I also combined a few of these fall-inspired patterned plates with other thrifted dishes and platters for a fall plate gallery wall.

Fall Artificial Fruit
Another fall decoration that I collect is artificial fruit. I found these stunning gourd apples and pears a few years ago and love adding them to my shelves or kitchen countertops each fall.
The milk glass fruit bowl holds a collection of authentic-looking plastic pears that I purchased for a fraction of what they would have cost new.

Vintage Baskets For Fall Decorating
Although baskets can be used year-round, I especially love decorating with them in the fall.
They look amazing, filled with either dried hydrangeas or corn shucks and pumpkins.

The large vintage wall basket brings attention to this porch corner when filled with faux fall leaves and berries.

I’ve also collected vintage fruit baskets like these, which I used to decorate the front porch for fall.

Vintage Milk Glass
Another favorite thrift store find is vintage milk glass. Yes, it’s perfect for decorating any season, but there’s something extra special about using these stunning pieces mixed with fall decor. See this article about decorating with milk glass after Labor Day!

Thrifted Amber Decor
One of my all-time favorite colors to use for fall decorating is amber. I have amber bottles and vases that always find a spot during the fall season.

Thifted Amber Vase
This oversized amber vase is a favorite thrift store find. It gets moved around to a new location every year. Once it was filled with fall stems to decorate the loft area, and another year it was filled with persimmon stems for a greenhouse table centerpiece.

Vintage Amber Bottles
Although many of my vintage amber bottles were inherited from my father-in-law, I’ve added several to the collection while thrifting. It’s hard to leave a good deal behind. Here they are grouped on the kitchen countertop and the kitchen island. However, they are a stunning display anywhere in your home.

Fall Porch Decor
When decorating outdoor areas such as the front or screen porch, I look for inexpensive decor because of the risk of moisture damage. Budget-friendly wicker baskets, old bottles, and dishes create stunning displays without breaking the bank. If an item only survives one or two seasons, it’s not a devastating loss.

Front Porch Fall Decor
The front porch primitive cabinet is filled with budget-friendly thrifted decor from warm copper pieces to terra cotta pots. Vintage basket, grapevine wreaths, and more add to the fall decor ambiance.

A set of thrifted hurricane vases is filled with gathered acorns for a unique fall centerpiece. This thrifted pewter leaf tray gets moved from one area to another to add a touch of fall to the porch.

Vintage Needlepoint Art and Paintings For Fall Decorating
I’m always amazed at how inexpensive needlepoint art is. I know all the hours that went into creating these stunning pieces, and I’m happy to rescue them for my fall decorating. Both of these pieces are used on the fall screen porch for a charming cottage core feel.

Fall Paintings & Prints
In addition to needlepoint pieces, canvas art, and prints, add charming fall touches to any home. The apple canvas was transformed into vintage artwork using these simple techniques. A framed rustic black and white sketch has all the fall feels with this pumpkin colored matte.

Fall Thrifted Greenhouse Decor
Many of the items I use to decorate the greenhouse are thrift store finds. Below you can see a chippy stool, a copper watering can, and a vintage toolbox. The warm copper color and terra cotta pots help to create a fall feeling in the space.

I also collect old birdhouses from thrifted stores to fill the greenhouse.

Fall Vintage Quilts
As the temperatures become cooler, pulling out a vintage quilt helps to warm up your bedrooms. This yard sale find is infused with warm fall colors of brown and burgundy. The warm colors inspired the DIY scrap fabric pumpkin pillow cover that helps to create a cozy fall bedroom.
