Add a decorative trim to the top of the planters.

We also added a metal strap which is optional.

A combination of different paints were used to achieve the faux galvanized finish.

You don't need to wait for paint to dry between colors.

Burnt Sienna Craft Paint added the rusty finish.

Once finished, you can add a clear coat sealer if desired.

My planters are used under a covered porch and they have held up to the weather for over 3 years without a sealer.

They Look great with seasonal decor. Not recommended if exposed to direct rain or snow.
